On September 13, 2010, Cuoco was in a horse-riding accident and suffered a very bad break on her leg. She came out of the saddle, landing on the ground, then her horse stepped on the leg, causing so much damage that at first emergency doctors thought amputation of the foot might be required. She was written out of two episodes of The Big Bang Theory (2007) and, for several episodes, was only seen sitting down or behind furniture in an attempt to hide the injury from the audience. Also, in her first appearance following the accident, she was filmed only from waist up, standing behind a bar counter acting as a bartender instead of her usual waitress position.

Was home schooled on the scenery and earned her high school diploma at age 16.

Was in a two-year relationship with Johnny Galecki, like their characters when they were co-stars on the popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory (2007).

Was a nationally ranked amateur tennis player until she switched to acting full time in 2002.

Has had the same support team (agents, managers, attorneys and publicists) since she was 15 years old.
