Stage: Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, the Crossroads Theatre at the Illinois State University Center for the Performing Arts. Hawkins plays Toledo in the August Wilson play with music. Also in the cast are Rev. David W. Brown, Carthy Dixon, Tony Ruffin, Justin Farley and Elaine Hall as Ma Rainey. Directed by ISU alumni Kathryn Ervin. The show runs until March 3, 2007.
