Her father is of Italian descent. Her maternal grandfather was of German, English, and Welsh ancestry, and her maternal grandmother was of Mexican heritage. Through her grandfather, she is a descendant of William Floyd, a Founding Father, and congressman, who signed the Declaration of Independence.
