Dead Rising: Endgame

This is a pretty bad sequel to the first movie and isn't that fun. The story isn't that impressive with Chase and his group deciding to sneak into a secret laboratory to stop General Lyons' plans. It's pretty predictable and there's barely any story to be found in it. There are some plot threads that appear, but are forgotten about like how Lyons sent agents to kill Chase, but is forgotten about somewhere in the middle of the movie until the end. Also, there's a couple of times where Chase's partner is talking to current people about the general plans, but it's not that interesting. When it gets to the action scenes, it's a hit or miss. There are a couple of fun action scenes with the characters fighting against the zombies and have some suspense to it. But the cinematography isn't that good with its shakiness of the camera and is sloppy. And I really don't like how the movie ends because it feels anticlimactic with the plotline with the villain.

The characters themselves lack any new development to them and are pretty bland throughout.

Chase is basically the same with him wanting to expose the general, but isn't that good as a main character.

Sandra is his off and on girlfriend who barely has any development in the movie and mostly tags along in the movie.

General Lyons is the main villain who barely does anything in the movie and is a pretty boring character.

I don't remember any of the new characters of the movie and really don't care to talk about them.

I found the special effects to be a downgrade compared to the previous movie. The zombie makeup looks pretty bland with little details to them and some of them look the same throughout. It does contain some graphic kills in the movie and it doesn't look bad.

Dead Rising: Endgame is a pretty bad sequel that isn't enjoyable and I recommend skipping this movie.

If you enjoyed the first one, I think you will enjoy this one as well. It's about the same quality etc. I didn't personally jump or get scared, but few movies do that to me anyhow.

seems like people expect to much from this movie sometimes forgetting that it is a B-grade movie

a lot of the review i've seen are complaining about the zombie action takes to long to begin but the thing they forget is that this movie is so much more than just are quick zombie flick...

this movie actually delivers well acting: (8/10) especially lead role he is a good actor and i never knew him before these movies

directing: (7/10) good story

action (6/10) i would say watchtower was a 4 on action they actually also upgraded that here so a lot of thing to be happy about.. so if you don't expect to much and just want to kill the time with a movie that is free on crackle than this will do just more than fine..

Dead Rising Endgame is a disappointing sequel to the action zombie genre. Worst than the first movie. First of all the plot is boring. About a government conspiracy and cover ups with the zombrex chips. While the good guys have to travel into a quarantined infected city to stop there servers. Yes. Some things do get left open. Maybe for another sequel. It also lacks the action than the first. But when Chase does fight against zombies. It does get entertaining and creative for those rare moments. Especially during the escalators scene. Also a new addition is the zombies are faster and stronger which makes it a little exciting. The acting has yet to improve. The script and direction is filled with bad dialogue. Slow and boring direction with its sub plot. And uneven pacing. I hope they get to reboot the adaptations and make better movies out of them.

Having watched "Dead Rising: Endgame", I can honestly say that it was every bit as good and bad as the 2015 "Dead Rising" movie. With that being said, I am prone to say that if you didn't enjoy the first movie, then you will not like this 2016 movie either, and vice versa.

A continuation of the story and events that took place in the 2015 "Dead Rising" movie, "Dead Rising: Endgame" puts us back into the quarantine zone, following the brash reporter Chase Carter (played by Jesse Metcalfe) yet again.

As much as I enjoy zombie movies, then "Dead Rising: Endgame", like its predecessor, just never really rose up beyond mediocrity for me. Sure, they are enjoyable movies for what they are, but they are just not outstanding in the zombie genre.

The effects were good, and there is a good amount of action and a good amount of zombies throughout the movie. That is at least something. And the acting was adequate as well.

However, I guess it is the storyline that is just too generic or perhaps because it is something that has been seen before in other zombie movies, that just makes it so bland and generic.

Being a zombie aficionado, of course I had to watch it. And I have done so now, but color me unimpressed. It was a mediocre experience, as I mentioned earlier, and this is not a movie that I can see myself making a second trip back to watching. It just didn't have enough contents to support more than a single viewing. There are far better zombie movies available out there.

But I am sure that hardcore fans of the Dead Rising games will find great enjoyment in these movies.
