I saw this movie 4 years after its release via a streaming service. At first, I thought it would be another mediocre national production -I'm mexican and I do admit our filming industry is really not competitive neither at artistic nor production levels- but I was glad to discover this movie took the most out of the limited resouces they had to create it. The plot seems a little repetitive, but, what else could someone do with that plot, right? a cursed board game, played by ignorance and rebel or even mocking. But surprisingly, this movie develops well and achieves to surprise in several moments throughout the film. It even has a surprising nice twist at the end, so even if you were getting a little bored, you get a good taste about it. and the top cherry: it has an endcredits post scene! LOL.

If you think this movie is low budget then you might never seen "Circle" lol... I think this movie was just good, actors made a good job, it was intense and the storyline was great. Im impressed.

Pretty standard fare for this storyline. I've seen better versions, but I've also seen far worse.

It is low budget, but everyone seemed to work with what they had. Acting suffered occasionally, but it did seem like everyone was trying.

Gave it the sixth star for the ending. Didn't see that one coming.

What is it with the Spanish? They just seem to make such good movies whatever genre they seem to be in and this, for a low budget horror, is really quite impressive.

With some relatively unknown actors, they pull off a really impressive and believable performance. Good characterization for once and a decent story even though it is completely unbelievable, but that is low budget horror guys so review it in that context. Most impressive of all is the creature which is of the Spanish Demon style with its tri-horned shadowy performance and throw in some equally impressive gore effects and you have an instant little gem in the movie coal bunker.

This film goes to show you do not have to have a massive budget or class A actors to make a really rather decent little horror which does actually give a good few scares.

At first I was reading the subtitles when I'm like I know Spanish and this isn't hard to follow. This increased the enjoyment of the movie even more since I could focus more on the flick. The story itself has been done in other movies in the past. Think Jumanji but a lot darker. Though this movie would of been done pretty early if the kids took the game seriously. The actors were believable and on point. I would recommend this movie to anyone to watch.
