The Pre-Drink

Mauro Ferritto is the screenwriter-director behind the chemistry-driven buddy flick, "The Pre-Drink," a thoroughly engaging and exceedingly fun ensemble film that does a terrific job pairing the right actors to Ferritto's uniquely-drawn character sketches.

Dean Pizzaferado (Nick Christie) is imminently poised to get hitched. But because our biggest moments can't always be perfectly scripted, Dean soon finds himself saddled with best friends in the midst of a bust-up further ignited by the group's voluminous intake of booze.

In the sum of its parts, "The Pre-Drink" exemplifies the terrific possibilities of indie comedy, as Ferritto's great tonal writing allows him to showcase his laddish characters in a way fans of The Hangover series will surely find appealing.
