"Hundreds upon hundreds of hours were wasted in front of my screen as this game consumed my soul. I didn't eat. I didn't sleep. All I did was change the colors on a map from the 15th century. After a month of this misery, I finally uninstalled the game, reclaiming my life. Yet, relapse still remains a threat to my sanity and well-being."
honestly, this game is great. The mechanics may seem complicated at first, but through perseverance (and a minimum of 4 hours messing around), you can learn to play. Then you'll fall in love with the amount of detail the developers put into it-the historical accuracy, the enemy AI, the events... it's beautiful, really-ignoring the visually tiring graphics. You can play as any nation, tribe, or kingdom you want, and realize the true historical glory your country never had.
Fully immersed, with hundreds of playthroughs completed, social life neglected, and the feel of sunlight forgotten, hours turn into days, days into weeks, weeks into months... But one day, you'll look at yourself in the mirror and ask the important question: Why do I play this game? It's been months. 600 hours. And it's not even that good. It's not worth wasting your life over this.
Unless you're responsible with your time and can be trusted around this type of game, you may suffer the same fate.
Of course, the previous account is over-dramatized-and I love this game. But I hate it too. And my hate for it is entirely on me.
5/10.
