    Great behind the « scenes » of TdF

    While not perfect I loved it! Great documentary about unknow aspect of the TdF

    Not too dramatic And very informative about the nutrition aspect of the TdF Even the BBQ dinner is showing some logistics aspects that are, or at least feel, real without a false drama often seen in other documentary of this kind

    Anoying is the false « tour de France descriptions » done with off voice narration

    But very fun to watch

    Loved it!

    Home after surgery and looked for something to watch while killing some time. And what a positive surprise this was.

    They DO combine the worlds of cycling and cooking ( I honestly don't understand the complaints here) . And it's done in a logic way. There's also facts about nutrion, health for athletes and the behind the scenes with the bicycleteam.

    One has to watch ALL the episodes....

    I am normally not the slightest interested in TdF but this show caught me. If you love Clarkson's Farm like I do this show is for you as well. The scenes when Hannah visits farmers, producers and fishermen are great as a balance to the circus of the TdF.

    And yes, you get to see when the bikers eat :-)

    Two separate shows in one

    The overall problem with this show is that the racing and the food bits are just completely separate. For what it's worth, I find the food prep part of it pretty interesting but it could do with a bit more sports science demonstrations and a bit less of Hannah smelling vegetables at farm shops. I enjoy seeing the process and panic from the food side. The racing part is completely separate and it'll not even fully sure I ever hear a single rider mention food in the whole doc, and definitely don't remember even seeing them eating it! So it's an interesting food prep doc, and an interesting behind the scenes pro sport doc, but the two parts never join together.

    Fun look behind the scenes of TdF

    Much like a foodie travelogue of France, this really works. It has some behind the scenes of Orica Scott team as they seek to get the white jersey, and a bunch of foodie activities. This really works on many levels:

    1) Bike racing novices are treated to how a world tour team operates, their strategies, and frustrations 2) Travelogue of France - beautiful country! 3) Food channel type cooking - literal farm to table cooking. Everything they make is so amazing.

    Overall this is short enough to keep it interesting, and long enough to get a feel for a 3 week race, and cooking for a 3 week race.
