At 1 hour 46 mins, the movie does seem short and it would have been better if the writer had actually written a better ending than the original play from where he has lifted the plot and the story and the dialogues...well everything!
The end seems abrupt and what they were trying to convey perhaps wouldn't reach the audiences. You HAVE to spoon feed certain things and you can't rely on people's intelligence.
There are continuality issues at multiple places, there are things out of place and in a shot, the car in the background is a sedan and in the next shot there's an SUV! I don't know what the director was doing then!
The roles of the two oldies played by Swati Dave and Haresh Dagiya are praiseworthy! I really think that Prapti wasn't set for this role and they should have casted somebody older for that. The character of Harinarayan has been overdone and how! If the LOC was the limit of overdoing things, this character was in the mountains of Tora Bora.
Esha's character of Shivani is nicely done, the part where she spits the ghutka is gross as well as funny, it irritates you to an extinct, but you will still laugh at it!
Lakhudas's character is okayish but hey, it's the guy's first movie!
The dialogues are mostly funny but there are also some which I personally did not like and found them way below the belt. The kind of humor you will find in this is also the humor that you saw in Kya Cool Hai Hum and great grand masti. Both these movies were also given a U/A certification.
The edit is also really good and crisp, the talent of Nirav Panchal adds to the movie, those little fast forwarded scenes work really well! There are multiple scenes where the camera is out of focus....
Niravbhai, the song could have been placed along with the end credits!
The worst part of the movie is the subtitles. Whoever wrote them should be crucified on a busy cross road. (I am willing to do that personally as well).
Also, there's this news that the person who certified this movie is also the publicist of it. That is a clear conflict of interest and I really hope that Prasoon Joshi would sack the person.
All in all, the movie is definitely a one time watch, not with the family perhaps but with friends and siblings! That being said, the families are anyway going to watch it!
