C'est quoi cette mamie?!

Seen August the 2nd, during a French preview, with part of the film crew including the director Gabriel Julien-Laferrière, the main actress Chantal Ladesou (Aurore, the granny) and two of the seven dwarfs: Benjamin Douba-Paris (Eliot) and Chann Aglat (Juliet), with an obvious connivance between them, thanks to well-prepared interactions. Not very natural but relatively effective.

This film is the continuation of La nostra grande famiglia (2016), with the same actors but with this time a pronounced focus on Aurore, an indescriptible and one-of-a-kind granny: subversive, undignified, unbearable but somewhat endearing. The seven dwarfs have lost their luxury apartment and go separately on summer vacation here and there, until the youngest one, Gulliver, calls the six other dwarfs for help.

I found this sequel better than the first opus, probably due to the larger role of the granny interpreted by the unequaled Chantal Ladesou with her indescribable voice.
