The director of this film could be Theodor Fontane himself. It really hits the point!

The director of this film could be Theodor Fontane himself! It has everything it needs: well playing actors, the touch of the classical German literature, the right music and Fontane´s dialogues. It is a perfect substitute for everybody, whom the novel is too long!
