Delusions

Wrongly listed as a 1983 feature in IMDb (I am fixing this), "Delusions" is a poorly made 1986 release starring a no-name cast, except for a young Marc Wallice. It's barely watchable in a badly transferred DVD reissue.

Story concerns a wealthy Mr. Sands, who has wannabe actresses come to his lavish estate to audition for him. His face is always kept in shadow, as he smokes a stogie and manages in a cheapjack sort of fantasy way to fulfill their erotic fantasies before giving them a contract or entree into the biz.

Hardly on the level of TV's "Fantasy Island", this is bad filmmaking, shooting on video rather than film, with delusions of competency. Cast gives their XXX all, but at no time is the director (credited to a veteran of the theatrical era, Paul Lyons) able to demonstrate the most minimal ability to frame porn properly.

Other than Reece Montgomerty in the NonSex assignment as Mr. Sands, the performers are not identified with their characters but there was one too many male credited than actual roles.
