Add another pseudonym to Joe Sarno's legacy of '80s porn. This poorly made video from "Francis Healy" has all the trademarks, and demerits, of Joe's anonymous bread jobs.
Barbara Dare (under the alternate moniker of Kim Wilde) stars as a TV news reporter Martina, who narrates from time to time to give the all-sex format a tiniest bit of context and plot. (DVD box tries in vain to make it sound interesting, embellishing on the non-story in typically misleading fashion.) Her auntie June Desmond (played by well-nippled and obviously siliconed Barbie Dahl) is a widow, with boarder Winnifred Carmen (little-known NYC actress Adia) living in her building. That's the setting for extremely dull mate-swapping and bed-hopping, a far cry from Sarno's salad days exploiting the topic in the softcore '60s.
The problem here, as with virtually all Joe's shot-on-video efforts, is a willful carelessness and defiant reluctance to set up most scenes properly. The prime directive of providing near-constant explicit sex is the culprit, and even the simplest of stagings quickly degenerates into a dreary "wham bam" porn filler format.
Early example of this is when a Les Farrell arrives at the building, and Auntie June immediately has sex with him, no preamble whatsoever. Similarly when (via voice-over) Martina sends her "old man" (read: hubby) Carl over, Winnifred deep throats him without further ado.
The fetishes/trademarks here are all the women keeping on high heels (otherwise nude) during the sex scenes, avoiding the "dirty feet" motif of so many porn junkers. Sexy stockings and garter belts are also de rigeur for a Sarno XXX video.
Plot twists of who's sleeping with whom and what permanent arrangements will result are thoroughly uninteresting. The best thing about the film is undoubtedly Dahl's fellatio technique. Dare is not used properly, and Adia is simply not good looking.
Just to conform to Sarno's #1 theme, Martina voices over how her mom told her once about having sex with her sister (Auntie June). This extraneous piece of info turns out to be relevant since Martina, natch, also wants to have sex with Auntie June, and sure enough we're treated to a lesbian threesome involving all the lead actresses.
Video is bookended by Martina doing a short newscast in front of the "Westpark Bldg. project". It's a cheapo set-up, evidently filmed at one gulp, and with terrible sound recording, betraying the "who cares?" aspect of BLOW BY BLOW.
