The Bedside Brat

PT wastes his time and that of the viewer in this meek, cornball comedy built around Nikki Randall as Tom Byron's bored housewife getting a volunteer job as nurse in hospital after getting a tonsilectomy.

Meant to be lightweight, the movie is so frivolous it's hard to get interested in any of the paper-thin characters, including Shanna McCullough as a supposedly stern nurse supervisor who inevitably seduces Nikki or Rick Savage as a womanizing doctor. None of them seem real for a minute.

Mike Horner is thrown in as a celebrity patient who gets a threesome with Nikki and another nurse. And PT stoops to stealing the ending from "Some Like It Hot" to finish this clunker.

Obviously the reaction to this non-starter of a comedy will depend on whether one is a Nikki Randall fan, but her once-popularity in these "Brat" roles (she isn't a brat but that was a signal meaning young back in the day) escapes me.
