Parody of "Dragnet". Sequel to "The Sheets of San Francisco," which introduced the character of Joe Thursday (played by Kevin James). Jon Martin inherited the role here, and returned three more times, for "The Case of the Crooked Cathouse," "The Case of the Cockney Cupcake," and "The Case of the Sensuous Sinners." Steve Austin took over as Joe Thursday in the 1990s for "Pleasureville," "Shagnet," and "Desperately Seeking Shay." Marc Cushman was the common thread, writing all eight and directing the last three.
