Unsuccessful political propaganda

The literal translation of the title of this film is: Party's daughter

This is an unsuccessful propaganda because in reality, communists lost the popular support due to the purges in the 1930's, following that of Joseph Stalin, and Mao was one of the victim who were almost killed in the purge and only at the last minute was he saved, and the film was consequently criticized by Mao and other top brass.
