Mellem os

Of course, as a screenwriter who has himself co-written Laurits' next film, the feature 'Ambulancen', I'm probably completely biased on my take of his work, but one thing's for sure: Laurits enjoys a tight set-up, uses the constraints for the story's own good, and has a wonderfully cinematic eye, even when portraying everyday situations such as a dinner party in an apartment. Thanks to the plot's surprises, the bubbling charm, and the excellent scene design in 'Between Us' ('Mellem Os'), Laurits and his collaborators have created a tight, sassy film full of style and seductiveness.

It comes highly recommended!

I saw this Danish short film at The European Film School Festival in Bologna this November, where it won the Main Prize as "Best European Graduation Film 2003". There where almost 30 gradutaion films from all over Europe in the competition and the level was very high. But "Mellem Os" (Tra di Noi) was the most funny and suspenceful film of them all and I think it was well deserved that it won the festival. See it if you can! It's so funny! Alesandro Botta

I viewed the danish film "Between Us" at the Student Oscar Screening the other day, along with the other screenings of this years American Student Academy Award winning film. It was definitely the best of them all!!! (...I also loved the animation "S.P.I.C.").

This is really a perfect film; Sexy, funny, intelligent and very surprising! And the actors are SO good!...I think it's very well deserved it won the Foreign Student Academy Award!...i hope it will be screened again some time. Thanks from LA!

Just watched this on DR2 and I know it won several prizes on international film festivals - but this I have to say..

The storyline is cute, the idea is nice, but why do they have to overact so severely. All leading characters apart from Helle Fagralid - whom I by the way have never seen THIS seductive, I think I'm in love, honestly! - are totally impossible to believe it because of the theather-like way of speaking. This is film, not theater. The overacting is unfortunately totally killing off this otherwise nice little flick..

Because of the over acting: 4/10 - otherwise it would probably have been a 6 or 7

Good short movie with stupid ending... so it seems that gf is banging bf's brother who is married. so he invited them to dinner and exposed , and then brother's wife n that bf had revenge sex next room. wife left husband . its over for them. but that bf came home next morning and got back together with gf? ... nahhhh. cheating /adultery always ends bad and it always destroy any relationship. once a cheater always a cheater.
