My god, how can anyone claim himself as director?, this movie sucks, it has everything to be good and they just send it directly to garbage, what is happening? anyway, slow cuts, slow scene, and bad edition, i don't want to talk anymore, this ochmann needs to be singer or something like that, he is NOT an actor, the only actor in there is Luis Felipe, who is sub used in here. Bye......... Anyway if u see it u will find out what i told you. There is a shooting where at the beginning was 3 girls, in the end there are none. Lots of mistakes. Boring music and bad landscapes, the final just sucks, big time, its like a never ending movie that u want to see it finished at half an hour of the beginning.
I don't write for a paper, so I wont give you the plot or even try to summarize it, but I can tell you I didn't expect much from this movie before going into it since I read some of the critics about this movie. I did hear that it still had some style that made it stand out so I decided to check it out and I never regretted it. A very good action movie, with some of the best action scenes filmed yet here in taco-land. A good soundtrack , some funny lines that give the audience an honest laugh and There are also some good actor performances, Luis Felipe Tovar is an amazing actor, though he looks older and more serious than in his previous films Mauricio Ochmann can use some more experience and my absolute favorite is the Diputado. The production is great, considering the ridiculous budget they had compared to any Hollywood production (1.5 mill U.S.)but they pulled out interesting environments, like Chichi's place, the scene when the bad guy with the machine gun hanging from his shoulder opens the door and there is this barrel on fire inside the house looks creepy and you know something bad is about to happen, the villains are strange and creepy. For all, I can say that it was unfairly criticized by the press, but I guess it is easier for that people to do so instead of creating something as complex and well organized as any of the shootouts in this film.
Ver, Oir & Callar is pretty good for what it is, a well made Mexican action thriller that couldn't possibly expect us to believe everything we are seeing on screen and, to be honest, doesn't care that we don't. That attitude is probably all for the best in this case, since it allows the filmmakers to create elaborate action and stunt sequences without having to pay the slightest heed to that fantasy killjoy known as 'credibility.'
This film is far more concerned with attitude and style, with a thief every female youngster would love to meet and the cop's daughter every one of us would like to date, than with the actual story, full with those scenes that have become the stock-in-trade for modern action pictures. The movie is well directed, fairly edited and quite beautifully photographed by cinematographer Lars Herrmann. This is by far the best Mexican film I have seen in a very long time.

A thief specialized in explosives is caught by a police commander who needs his experience to do a job that would finally clear his name.
It's strange to see this kind of movie in the Mexican cinema. It's target is the box office but the violence is the same level as Conejo en la Luna or Fibra Optica, as well as its production values.
Anyway, it is very pretentious in its story and in the way to film the action sequences, but lose its steam by the end.
Just an attempt.
A good sequence at the beginning and in Chichi's place, characters not well developed and a derivative story. But an interesting music like the one for 8 mm. enhance some moments.
Keep doing it. It's difficult to make a Hollywood-like production but something closer to Luc Besson's Nikita would do fine.
A good advice would be to keep doing commercial movies with another theme more positive, because crime and police is already a cliché.

The movie is an action story, very typical, without many twists. The acting is good, although the dialog is corny sometimes, but the actors do their best. Paola Nuñez is really good, i wish we could have seen more of her acting. She has everything to work on bigger and better productions. In General a decent movie, but bad editing and audio lessen the effort by the actors. The plot is predictable sometimes, as well as some of the action sequences. The style the director goes for is good, but you can see how it could have been done better.
