A very interesting case of the murder of an Iranian busienssman living in L. A., along with his bodyguard, has echoes of the changes in law enforcement post-9/11 as well as a turf battle has the FBI barging in and encroahing on Sedgwick's authority in the investigation. And even office poliics here at the police department is even more intriguing than the case at hand.

Guest star Marina Siris is deep into character as the businessman's widow, at odds with her chauvinist son as he case becomes more complicated. A very interesting wrrinkle has Kyra defending her interrogation techniques against the then-current and oh-so controversial torture-style tactics used by some govenment agencies.

Kyra is superlativ in action getting all the info out of a suspect, leading to a powerhouse, thought-provoking and topical climax.
