The episode is just editing prior clips together and having maybe a minute of the current characters reacting to those stories. The show even does a meta commentary on it as if self-awareness makes it okay that you feel a need to extend your show with mindless compilations disguised as episodes. One more episode like this and my watchthrough will be over.
There's maybe 10% new animation here, and that is being generous. Many scenes you will just have characters speaking, there is clearly no attempt at lip-syncing at all, and characters are constantly teleporting around the kitchen table. It's just jarring, this is the kind of thing that The Simpsons would make fun of, and yet they just proudly display one of the laziest episodes of TV I've ever seen. Most of this episode is just mind-numbing, you've already seen all of this, so there's literally no reason to watch this episode. At least the season 4 clip show had the April Fools plot with Homer and Bart. This episode is just nothing, it has no reason to exist. Don't watch this episode.
A clip show is a clip show. I just saw these episodes recently. Since this is filler, I don't have anything to add from the first time I saw these. We will move on from here.
The main problem with this episode was that Marge and Homer very openingly admit that that they both cheated on each other. WHAT? And when the episode is over, they're just okay, as if nothing happened. Bulls***! Also what ever happened to Mindy? She became an alcoholic and lost her job. Seriously? Just like that? You're gonna give a minor character the boot? Punishing her for being attractive to Homer? Something that wasn't even her own fault! This episode just makes me feel sick.
I hate this episode, like a lot. So they literally just reuse random scenes from other episodes to make a new episode that's just Another Simpsons Clip Show, and it's absolutely terrible. First of all, why didn't they use the good ending in New Kid on the Block and I Love Lisa? Why did they have to make it seem like the episodes had bad endings when they didn't? Secondly, it's BORING! Like, really really boring. Thirdly, it's the laziest episode in the entire series! At least All Singing All Dancing as bad as that episode was had an actual plot that was between the clips. This episode only has The Simpsons Family sitting at the dinner table. What's their excuse for making a lazy episode? Redeeming Qualities: Everyone is nice to each other, and I really like Last Temptation of Homer so I'm glad they put that in there.
