No surprise to us home viewers, Scarlett later on gets into bed with Xander, informing her they're sharing her room. Xander ends up happily humped by Scarlett, and it turns out this isn't the last we'll see of Sage.
Scene shifts to the campus of University of Thornhill, depicted in stock shots of impressive buildings. But immediately we're back at Lamoyne Hotel where Alison Rey is interviewing a couple of prospective freshmen Sabina Rouge and Vienna Rose.
They're joined by Scarlett Sage, but confusingly (the sort of shortcutting Girlfriends FIlms likes to use) Scarlett is not playing the desk clerk this time, but is a new character, like Alison representing U. Of Thornhill. They hint at and then come out with the implicit policy of Thornhill catering to lesbians, and wondering if these youngsters qualify. Alison seduces Rouge while Scarlett takes shy Rose to another bedroom and humps her too, even though Vienna has declared "I'm not gay!' earlier on.
We deserved a set-up scene at the university, as this would have added a tiny bit of credibility to Scarlett's surprise appearance, but instead are left with five seconds of stock footage. So the viewer has to accept, on faith and through inference, that the employee Scarlett and university student Scarlett both happened to show up at the hotel, rather than the more obvious fact that the actress was already on set, ready to perform double duty for a cost-conscious porn label.
