Der Traum des Bildhauers

Is there a shock or some scandal in Johann Schwarzer's "Der Traum des Bildhauers" ("The Sculptor's Dream") when it comes to featuring prolongued scenes of nudity? Not at all. It's a very artistic and beautiful representation of art, the labour of an artist when developing his craft and admiring the beauty of it all, which happens to be the statues of three female in the nude, striking an elegant pose. It's interesting that during the transition when they come to life to call the attention of their sculptor at no point there were actual statues, it was the great effort and concentration from the actresses/models in staying still with their pose, and later on they begin to act. Today it works as a curious artistic piece, daring for its time and beautiful when it comes to bring the idea of an artist's full realization about his creation, the joy of reaching perfection and beauty of his work. 7/10.
