Among the actors in attendance were no fewer than four who would be linked to the Sherlock Holmes character--George C. Scott who had played a psychiatric hospital inpatient believing himself to be Holmes in They Might Be Giants (1971), Nicol Williamson who would play Holmes in Sherlock Holmes: soluzione settepercento (1976), Christopher Plummer who would play Holmes in Assassinio su commissione (1979), and both Peter Cook and Dudley Moore who would spoof Holmes and Dr. Watson in Il cagnaccio dei Baskervilles (1978).
