Mistero a Saint Tropez

Maybe I was in just the right mood when I started watching this movie, but for the first time in a loooong time I laughed out loud. It's lighthearted fun with just the right amount of slapstick that takes away a day's blues in a way only the French can do.

The characters are delightfully stereotypical of their status and/or profession, yet remain, for the most part, quite likeable.

This movie isn't God's gift to comedy or a sophisticated satire commenting on today's society, but it is every bit as deserving of an audience. It is accessible for all, including those who didn't grow up knowing and loving the French classics.

Another French comedy in all it's glory. I laughed my brains out while watching this film and I honestly recommend it.

Cast is perfect. Storyline will keep you seated all time. And after the end, you would probably like to know if there is sequel coming on. I honestly hope the makers of this masterpiece will make another one.

No pun intended - maybe there is one. At least for those who had no fun at all with this - how can people like this? Well it is quite easy - humor is in the eye of the beholder. And even when something is as silly as this ... well you'll find someone (not me particularly) who will love this way too much (in your opinion).

I am a sucker too I reckon - in the perception of some. But I liked the movie - especially because of the cast! Quite a few known faces that get together - the plot ... well there is not that much here ... it's a mystery (no pun intended) ... but also does it really matter "whodunnit"? Just enjoy the show and the jokes if you can ... this really is nothing more than some short entertaining movie ... if you can suspend your disbelief that is.

But Clavier, why does he wants to play Clouseau Without any official references to him .

It's such a pale imitation , I suppose that the people who Didn't see the original pink panther would think this movie is good .

A bedroom farce without much mystery... or any clues. When someone cuts the brake lines on madame's car, they send inspector boulin over to check things out. But he's clumsier than inspector clousou and maxwell smart combined. We keep seeing a figure creeping around the property, but we're not given any clues to their identity. It's okay. Starts to drag about an hour in. And the scene of smoking hash just goes on. And on. And on. It's fun and silly. Keep an eye out for rossy de palma, from all those almodovar films! And of course it couldn't be a french film without gerard depardieu. This is rated pretty low on imdb, but it's not really so bad. Directed by nicolas benamou.
