Riepilogo
Reviewers say 'Betaal' offers a unique zombie horror concept blending Indian mythology, eliciting mixed reactions. Praise is given to the cinematography, production design, and initial gripping episodes. However, the storyline is criticized for being predictable and shallow. Acting performances are seen as inconsistent, with some efforts appreciated and others deemed lackluster. Special effects and zombie makeup are often faulted for being subpar. The series is also criticized for relying on clichés and lacking originality. Despite these issues, some find 'Betaal' enjoyable for its novelty and entertainment value.

Indian serieses are trying something new ... We should appreciate it. May be next season will be much better than this. Less horror more thriller 👍.
People giving single star needs peace truly. Everything which is made for screen has lot of effort behind that thing. Work appreciation is must 👍
E1 gets 10 cos the series starts off very well, especially the poor tribals termed as terrorists so that their lands can be usurped forcefully in the name of development. The camcorder shot stuff is a bit irritating with those colors but the demons on the ceiling r creepy. A female's face is shown partly burnt which is similar to The Jackal.
E2 gets 8 but the hand held shaky camcorder stuff gets on ur nerves. Shot too much in the dark with those annoying flickering lights but still a creepy one.
This one goes all out action with the demons shooting a la Outpost style. Some may laugh it off but some scenes r creepy n bloody.
E3 gets 6 cos it gets repetitive, the drum beating demon gets on ur nerves, the mumbo jumbo stuff is lousy, the turmeric, etc. Stuff is laughable, the talking demons is again a big lol.
E4 gets 5 cos the editing n photography is very bad. The ending a big meh with all those sacrifices n all.
Overall the series gets a 7. A bit generous for the effort.
They shud learn from Radhika Apte's Ghoul n Soham Shah's Tumbbad.

Not bad, felt like watching a horror game like last of us. Didnt expected to be a zombie movie. It was more like a scary demon/monster movie. In fact, the first 2 episodes brings great horrific scenes and effects that can beat most of the horror movie. Story wise was okay, glad that they use an ancient cultural practice and mix it with curses, zombie and demons. Most of the casts were okay except for the colonel. Saanvi was annoying throughout the series. Everything getting messier starting in 3rd episode. Few things that doesnt make sense, the last episode was dissappointing, probably run out of budget or ideas for continuation. Glad that i watched, enjoyed the horror aspect of this. Recommended.
First episode was great, plausible plot, interesting characters, great cinematogrophy.
2nd Episode did pretty well, great horror scenes, fast paced, not knowing what the next minute will reveal.
3rd Episode was lazy, Soldiers being stuck in a building & doing nothing but wait, with no real plan. let alone plan B or C. The actions of the soldiers made no sense, 90% of action is you watching rifles being fired. Nothing else.
4th Episode was disasterous. No surprises, nothing interesting happens. Actors just look lazy and not interested in trying, again no real plan. the final "plan" on how to end all this was a "chutiyan" plan, in one of the soldiers' own word.
Cinematography was pretty good for the indian standard. Acting was bad. Even Viineet Kumar, (whom I personally admire , he is a fantastic actor) was just clueless 80% of the show.
Hope there is no more seasons, or at least not with the same writer & director. Disappointed.

I found the Story line of Betaal very refreshing & new. The Indian version of Zombie Army is done quite well. I just felt that the Emotional Scenes of the Characters could have been much better developed. It sometimes gave the impression of the scene dragging.
The ending left us with Season 2 that should come
