Transfixed Volume Two

I've seen several hundred of Adult filmmaker Bree Mills' productions, mainly vignettes but a handful of features too, and this DVD compilation of material from her Transfixed website contains my favorite scene of hers thus far.

It has Maya Kendrick attending a yard sale, thrown by Bree herself in one of her frequent screen cameos, and buying for a bargain price of $20 a full-length mirror for her new house.

Wonderfully paced scene has her discovering, with several well-directed moments of terror, that the image in her new mirror is not of herself but rather of a tall, busty beauty vaguely resembling her, played by trans-female star Aspen Brooks in a technique paying homage to that classic Marx Bros. mirror routine (that was memorably reprised in the 1950s by Harpo and Lucille Ball).

Aspen emerges from the mirror as a real-life woman, cuing a sensual and invigorating lesbian-style sex scene with Maya, that leads to a bittersweet ending of the vignette.

Worthy of much analysis by any student of sex in the cinema, this highly imaginative playlet by Mills raises all sorts of intriguing issues, as Maya's wish fulfillment "creation" of the mirror image character not only has big fake breasts, contrasting with her flat chest (that issue of natural versus enhancement) but in a delayed but tastefully directed reveal for the audience, we have Aspen's big hard cock, which gives a different aspect of the psychological concept of penis envy.

Though hardly up to the level of the Maya/Aspen scene, the other two vignettes here are also rewarding. Casey Kisses is commanding as a housewife who dallies with her BFF Sarah Vandella while hubby is at work (the extra playing the male role is one of the crew members, who I could not identify). Story revolves around Casey sharing her "secret" with Sarah, which predictably is that she has a really big cock hiding in her panties. The two actresses underplay the scene with aplomb.

Finale has a mirror but turns out to be an all-sex pseudo-lesbian romance, in which tattooed favorite Lena Kelly uses her cute dick on fellow blonde Athena Rayne, all lovey-dovey with zero conflict or story. It merely underscores how Bree is rather subversively expanding her recent dominance of Sapphic porn to include crypto-lesbian content matching cis-females with trans-females, the active hard cock serving as an organic substitute for the usual strap-on dildo.
