I was watching this at the Malmö Arab Film Festival (in Sweden) and I was so taken by the characters and their stories. Watching the movie surrounded by people who knew the setting and was laughing with recognition or sighing with despair made the characters and the culture come to life even more. It is a story that celebrates the strength of women, but it also tells about every day life, the past and the present, love, the complexity of parenting and much more. This movie brought joy and light to my heart. Especially the little boy who so often smiles against the camera (since he is the producer's baby boy) adds an extra dimension of warmth. I really recommend it for all to see, and we need more of movie's like this as a counterweight to the perfection of Hollywood. Well done to all involved!
Spending a life time watching foreign films, the hard part was to find a good plot, a very strong story, and this movie sure have it.
The thing that I enjoy is how the three women demolish the borders between them, in other words the plot on how the demolish happened, it have this . . . The way the scenes turns to, and with the Jordan atmosphere, i'm very pleased I got the chance to see it, looking to see more.

The idea of the film (brining the three women together under one roof) is great but it was executed poorly. The best part of the film was Juliet Awwad's performance. I was hoping that Rania Kurdi's performance would get better as the story moved forward, but unfortunately it got worse to the point where it got embarrassing. She basically based the character on a mix of previous comedic characters she played and it was very, very, bad.
The twist in the film could have been hidden and withheld better, rather than having it partially exposed in one of the dialogues ahead of its time.
It was an okay experience overall.

Strong writing, great characters and story arc. Glad to have spotlight on Arab women voices. Very excited for what comes next from director Hanadi Elyan.
I truly loved it. I did not expect that quality and that real dialogue. I cried few times and I laughed much more.
The acting is so real. Rania Kurdi is being the legend she is. Juliet Awad is history. Farah was an amazing actor, she is so real.
