Pete Davidson: Alive from New York

Pete's style of comedy is very awkward, I find it very unfair that people are criticizing the special for being awkward. If you watch SNL Pete will occasionally join Collin Jost and Micheal Che on weekend update and deliver his awkward take on something and it's just funny. Pete easily replicated that to create something that I found to be quite enjoyable.

Response to many of the comments: I would appreciate it if people would remember he struggles with anxiety and has really bad stage fright. As a pianist who struggles with the same, I recognize the signs and was all I could see <3

Pete Davidson is not a horrible comic,but this special is not a good one. I feel like he ate 3 grams of shrooms and was tripping the whole time. It would explain the goggles and pauses, and hard time he had getting through his stories. So many great comics waiting for a deal,and this is what comes out?

For example, weed. Everyone knows Doug Benson is quintessential "weed comic," but he's F'n hilarious. Pete just uses crowd pleasers like weed to get claps, not laughs.

Just stories. No wit or cleverness.

I am a Pete Davidson fan. He is a great storyteller. There were a few funny stories, but man was it hard to get through the awkward parts. It wasn't his best. It was all around awkward.
