Very moody, dark, yet very poetically made vampire fantasy. This story also tells you that sometimes immortality is not as usually thought to be a blessing but a lament torture. Seeing the love ones, those who you finally getting familiar with, either becoming old, dying and dead. Being immortal is an eternal punishment and torture, becoming a vampire is not a blessing but a curse. Forever young might be the ultimate desire to some people, but to some people, existence with a lifespan limitation might turn out a better choice since getting old is already a burden when every part of your physical being is gradually weakened, longevity is not what people usually dream of.

This film was wildly beautiful. Don't go into it looking for horror, but more so a "new age" vampire drama about love, life and loss.

This was definitely a slow burn and you're not going to come out of it with some intricate, wild story. This film is more about the art and the message behind it.

That little girl did and excellent job, casting directors should be jumping all over her after this. Everyone else did a good job as well, no one stuck out negatively (to an English speaker).

I would definitely recommend, once again, if you watch it for the beautiful shots, the great acting and the greater meaning of it and you will definitely enjoy.

... but I still felt obliged to offer praise. This has almost all of the elements that a "good film" (not "movie") should have. The last movie that I watched before this was Micheal Bay's "Ambulance" (unfortunately), which was a big budget train wreck and polar opposite to the thought, direction, and care that went into this film. Looking back, I don't think I can think of a single thing I can remember being wrong in this film, and if you like what you read in the first 7 reviews, you will enjoy this.

Set in the war ravaged Basque countryside in the early 20th century, the story traces the journey of a young orphan girl (played by the beguiling Haizea Carneros) after she is miraculously saved from imminent death by a mysterious stranger with special powers.

Playing more like a drama with touches of dark fantasy than conventional 'horror', the film recalls Let the Right One In, Pan's Labyrinth and Black Bread.

A haunting and lyrical fairy tale, All the Moons eschews plot in favour of atmosphere and emotion.

The film manages to add a fresh new take to the over-saturated vampire sub-genre while delivering a truly moving cinematic experience.

This is a great drama about a girl coming to terms with the death of her loved ones as she is gifted immortality. The vampire theme is used to drive the story and not just add shock value. I personally loved the film as its a breath of fresh air just be warned its not a horror movie. The musical score was exceptionally gorgeous! I wish there was a little bit more character development between Maia and the boy she met to help flesh out emotions more but overall 7/10.
