The Tavern

Honestly, I wouldn't say this is the best film I've seen all year, but it is definitely my favourite!!

For the first ten minutes we weren't sure what we had set ourselves up for. The low budget and amateur acting were obvious, but the film found its groove and the story developed nicely with a few unexpected turns. I loved the dark humour and subtle (and less so subtle) local references. I was laughing throughout, but the ending had me cackling!

Thoroughly recommend giving this one a shot, it surprised me in all the best ways!
