Summer with the Guys

Really well-executed idea that flips the roles in the film of what usually would be the other way around. Good music, fun performances and just really well done overall. And although I know nothing about dancing, I can recognize it was top notch! Another important note is that I totally bought the guys as friends - which isn't always the case in a movie like this. Well done.

Overall this also had some genuinely laugh out loud moments. Very rare for an indie film. This goes well with how polished the film is and the timing and pacing of the story and editing works very well. This would be a recommend for me!

I see Brashaad, which I just thought he was an influencer but clearly he really acts!!! Summer With The Guys was really funny and to be honest I only watched it because I kept seeing clips of it on TikTok with Brashaad. I didn't know what to expect because I didn't see any name actors in the previews, but I really wanted to support someone who supports South Africa. Plus Brashaad is funny though that is not the role he played in this film. The lady yelling in the window and the big girl was extremely funny. I will say expect the unexpected in this movie because it is nothing like what I have watched before. If you are a lady watching this, I recommend not doing it with your boyfriend because the men dancing half naked might get you in trouble. I think I was looking at the screen a little to hard. Let me not give to much away, but I'd say give it a watch if you want some good unexpected laughs. Was this movie filmed in South Africa? I see Roxie a big South African DJ in the film.

It's all about that sexy vibe and non-stop entertainment. The dance moves? Smooth as butter. And the jokes? They're fire, man. I felt the movie was great, both mixture of comedy and reality was very intriguing, genuinely told, i may not have liked a few scenes however this movie and story is a direct reflection of how sometimes people have to do anything in order to make their dreams become a reality, finish their education or even just to survive in a harsh world where people are inconsiderate. I felt that it was touching as well as relatable also very funny, the actors played a good part and they fitted in as a team perfectly.

There is a lot more I can say however let's leave it to you who takes time in watching...

Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Good storyline, great actors, very entertaining and kept me laughing. It's a mix of Magic Mike (but actually better because Magic Mike was corny AF) and American Pie. I would definitely watch it again. It's one of those feel good movies you can leave on and even it you catch glimpses of it, it's guaranteed to catch your attention or have you laughing. The ending caught me off guard in a good way. Most movies are pretty predictable. They did great at including little twists and turns to keep you tapped in while enjoying the ride. A sequel would be great. Maybe a different country/location.
