deceptively easy-going

Real world satire combined with most enjoyable video game elements, and the final result is the show that deals with complex, serious matters, where there's no true good guys nor bad guys, because regardless of all, eveyone is convinced that necessity dictates their actions and deeds.

All that being covered under game style quest and roles, can prompt one to dig a bit deeper, and if do, then to figure how things are.

Sort of unique show.

Pretty Good And Better

Action packed, post apocalypse drama, and sci fi, and satire, and survival, and even adventure. Human nature and nature of war are the themes. And also there's the intrigue, and just a little bit of mystery..

Sound, tone, visuals and vibe complement all that suitably for each occasion and throughout all eight episodes.

Pretty good show for sure.

very good

Didn't know what to expect from fallout tv adaptation, and after finally watched it, can with satisfaction say that it's very good. Lots of good stuff in the show, and quite some excellent. It is nice that we got a military grunt wanna be hero, instead of actual "all capable" cliche. Also excellent is that Lucy turned out all that nowdays is hard to even expect, let alone actually get on TV.

Good characters, and the Ghoul is excellent. Good plot for the season, very game alike. And very good story that we only scratched the surface of in S1. Really looking forward to S2.

Fallout: it's A Banger

Not that fast-paced and yet: Lots stuff going on. Paying lots attention is lots necessary. And then lots fun. Lots entertainment. And lots all that to distract lots from paying attention even a bit. And all that tangled and entangled combined, flows smoothly well with a swift notion..

Seems lots like a video game turned TV..

Refreshing

Finally some good series again. It has been a long long time without or almost with, and even that just fewer than few.

Fallout does not tell the audience what to think and how to act. Fallout is not preachy, Fallout is not pretentious. It leaves things ambiguous and open to interpretation, and adds abundance of fun. Fallout resides at the place where duality of it all is blurry, yet might be the only sure thing other than War Never Changes. Fallout is a must watch category.

Authentic and good

As countless others already figured and said, this show did amazing job.

World building, visuals, sound, casting, characters, story, et cet., and the overall ambience of it, is almost unbelievable how well the show encompasses all that.

Worth noting is that side characters are of the best those put on screen..

Quite genuine and true to its source material.

High Rewatch Value

All immense world building, and still what was shown till this point is just a fraction of it all. Storytelling visual elements are exceptional. Numerous details combined aren't all that easy to catch on the first watch, which combined with how initially displayed is developed ultimately, joined with the satire, action, and some memorable moments, makes Fallout of those shows that have high rewatch value.

Much better than expected

Surprisingly good and well made show. It looks like well thought out and planned too.

Characters have depth, stories and back stories, acting is good, production value is high. Accuracy to the world of Fallout is immaculate. The world of Fallout is being introduced to TV quite well, and the story is slowly expanding. Occasionaly overly intricate, while the good side of that, is that following seasons will continue on story-rich.

Use of practical props and amount those made for the show is admirable.

Show as a whole with no major flaws, can be upgraded to even higher levels.

Fast paced and satisfying

Someone who's not played the games but was aware of the lore and visuals of fallout, I was pleasantly surprised to be taken on an almost instantaneous, bizzaro joyride through an apocalyptic Americana. Great performances running throughout, with a nearly unmatched fast pace that leaves you no time to pause, something I find lacking in so much TV of today. Walton Goggins is as usual excellent, a layered and confident performance. The set dressing, locations and costume work are all superb, worn out, destroyed and strikingly impressive. Worth a watch for anyone who enjoyed the high energy and violence of 1980s sci-fi, great fun!

A Surprisingly Strong Adaptation With Room to Grow

As someone familiar with the Fallout games, I went into the show with a mix of excitement and caution-but I was genuinely impressed. The world feels authentic, gritty, and lived-in, with just the right balance of dark humor and post-apocalyptic weirdness that makes Fallout what it is.

The performances are a major highlight. Ella Purnell brings a great mix of innocence and determination, and Walton Goggins absolutely steals the show every time he's on screen. The production design is top-notch-from the Vault interiors to the chaotic Wasteland, it all looks fantastic and immersive.

The story does a solid job of introducing the world to new viewers while still throwing in plenty of nods for longtime fans. That said, the pacing can be uneven at times. Some episodes fly by, while others feel like they're spinning their wheels a bit. And a few character arcs could've used more development or emotional depth, especially with how strong the setting is.

Still, these are small gripes in the grand scheme of things. Fallout manages to pull off something rare: it respects its source material while carving out its own identity. I'm excited to see where it goes next-and I have a feeling it'll only get better from here.

Skillfully Crafted Show

Fallout show really is a pleasant surprise. Described as faithful adaptation, although not a direct adaptation, and instead portrays, fits into, and adapts the world of Fallout nicely and with quite some accuracy.

Characters are on point. They really are like characters from the games, Lucy, the Ghoul and multiple others especially. And for that to be possible, casting had to be on point too.

Complex large story that is being introduced in S1 will take several seasons, and I'm really looking forward to watching it..

Finally, a good video game adaptation

There have been several video games that get made into a film or show. Most do not translate the medias properly (looking at you Halo), but after the Last of Us set a bar the Fallout show raised it.

Video game mechanics are translated quite well, each main character is basically how you play the game-Lucy the fresh eyed newbie to the wastes, Maximus is your "for cool stuff" playthrough and The Ghoul is your 9th playthrough. The only complaint I can actually justify is that we had no Ron Pearlman in any capacity and the ghouls do not have their "rotting vocal" sound.

This show is a wonderful introduction to the Fallout lore and a wonderful adaptation of a video game.

Excellent Introduction to TV

Fully successful introduction of Fallout to TV. Pretty good show for gamers and non gamers. Has and does everything right. Action, drama, war, post apocalypse, serious joined with satire, all combined runs quite clever.

A great watch. Intrigue and fun, highly entertaining, and to extent depressingly real in some aspects.

Also those familiarized with the games will notice numerous details with admirable accuracy.

Intricate, Fun..

Right from the start more going on than obvious, is only obvious about this show. Fun stuff is dual purpose: fun and diversion..

Particular first encounter of the two main characters after rampage fun in Filly, during which one after gained a brief info, and armed, starts walking towards the other, only for to quickly, another main arrives, and yet again rampage fun distracts, all moves on, specifics of the encounter to be "forgotten" or dismissed as "plot convenience" or "plot armor", while with more the story and character backstory, "tells" differently, and starts making sense down the line..

That is just one of many examples for the construct of this show, that is "Show, Don't Tell", where focusing on is rewarding..

Great show

This show is very entertaining, plot is also very good, acting is amazing. I love the development between characters and the way they interact. This show adds a bit of everything to the show as for examples action, bit of horror, comedy, thriller aspects. Show it keeps u engaged the whole time. Great show.

Turns out to be quite a blast

Very dynamic show, always on the move, something is going on constantly. Things, and for that matter, lots things, are happening always, as well as the plot, sub-plots, sub-stories, story, and characters that constantly move..

Fallout is a great watch, a lot of fun and enjoyment, still not that simple, deceptively smart actually, with a flavour of satire and dark humour, so paying attention is recommendable..

Soundtrack consisting of mid-twentieth century tunes is Fallout standard, while "the score", meaning original themes made for the TV show are anything and everything from haunting to epic. Overall excellent sound, and for that matter, the show looks great too..

Filming for season 2 is finished, or just about to be..

Interested to see more..

Fallout

Having played games like Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout 4, I was pleasantly surprised that the original games' atmosphere was finally captured well. While the series still has room to grow, it successfully combines elements of humor and drama. The characters are vivid and the plot is gripping and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The attention to detail is great, with references to the game's lore, recognizable elements of the post-nuclear world and a soundtrack that fits perfectly into the conceptual picture. While some aspects could have been further developed, it definitely requires attention from both some fans of the series and newcomers. It remains to be seen where the developers will take the story in the future, and I hope they maintain this balance between nostalgia and progressive ideas.

Fallout Is Fabulous

Great world building that is quite extensive, while also just a fraction of it all. Visual elements that have world-building purpose, also have story-telling purpose. Daytime or nightime, the ocean, the sun, and various other details combined, that aren't all easy to notice immediately, all have the same purpose, and that joined with how initially presented is developed finally, and also quite ammount of memorable, and some epic moments, as well as action, drama and satire, makes Fallout of those shows with quite high rewatch value.

Top notch TV and excellent adaptation. Season two coming....

Fallout Season 1: A Post-Apocalyptic Adventure That Captures the Essence of the Franchise

Fallout Season 1 is a thrilling dive into the post-apocalyptic world fans have long loved. Adapted from the iconic video game series, the show brings the bleak, irradiated wasteland to life with stunning visuals, retro-futuristic technology, and an atmosphere that perfectly balances despair and dark humor.

The story follows a group of survivors navigating the dangerous world after a nuclear war, and while it doesn't give away too much right away, it sets up an intriguing mix of factions, moral dilemmas, and survival tactics. The series does a fantastic job of capturing the feel of the game, with Easter eggs and references that fans will appreciate, but also enough world-building to engage new viewers.

Character development is strong overall, with a compelling protagonist and a cast of quirky, memorable side characters. Some may feel that certain storylines or motivations aren't fully fleshed out, but the core narrative holds steady. The action sequences, from intense gunfights to confrontations with mutated creatures, are well-executed and bring a sense of urgency and danger to every episode.

One of the most impressive elements of Fallout Season 1 is how faithfully it sticks to the spirit of the original games. The show embraces the same balance of moral complexity, humor, and survivalist grit that made the franchise a hit, making it enjoyable for fans while still being accessible to newcomers.

Overall, Fallout Season 1 is a solid start for a series that promises to grow even better. With its rich world-building, exciting action, and nods to the original games, it's a must-watch for Fallout fans and anyone who loves a good post-apocalyptic story. While there are a few bumps in pacing and character depth, it's a promising start that sets the stage for future seasons.

FALLOUT

Fallout," the television adaptation of the iconic video game series, brings the post-apocalyptic world to life with a captivating blend of dark humor and action-packed storytelling. Set in a retro-futuristic landscape, the series cleverly explores themes of survival, morality, and humanity through its richly developed characters and intricate plotlines. The attention to detail in production design captures the essence of the game's iconic aesthetics, while the writing balances moments of levity with the gravity of dystopian challenges. Fans of the franchise as well as newcomers will appreciate its engaging narrative and dynamic performances, making "Fallout" a must-watch for those who enjoy thought-provoking science fiction.

Spot On And High Quality

Best game adaptation ever! Also very good adaptation in general, and pretty good TV show.

Genuine. Has all the feel and vibe necessary.

Additional seasons will continue the story and provide answers, pay-offs, and resolutions. Let's hope that "the wait" won't be too long, and that there will be several seasons part of overall Series..

As for the first season in particular, without spoilers: it's pretty good. Visuals, sound, production value, and story. Although it is, as mentioned, mostly setting the larger story..

Also isn't a regular TV show. Refreshing, in a way different, and of high quality.

Actually Sneaky

Sufrace simple and fun, while complex in depth..

The Brotherhood definitely knows way more than their higher ranks reveal, as they organised this large and long range mission, independent of other factions, with their own resources, intel, etc. All that is distracted from by low grunt perspective.

Corporations meeting shows Barb Howard, who runs one of Vault Tec Divisions, with the Enclave or otherwise "captured" by The Enclave, which is a shadow organisation that, amongst other, wants to prepare for what they see as inevitable end of already failed civilisation, and to create a new one on their own image, using corporations as "the vessel" for projects necessary, and that is why Bud Askins, and similar other, talk about time, management, investment, experiments, etc, while Barb Howard talks about The Vault that oversees all other..
