Rise of the Footsoldier: Origins

I was so looking forward to watching this movie.

I have enjoyed most of them bar the 2nd one and this one is is awful. Storyline is so poor and that Terry Stone his acting is getting worse by the movies. Vinnie Jones is wasted in this movie he could have been given a bigger role.

If you like the C Bomb being dropped Evey 5 minutes & a lot of violence, then this might be your cup of tea, but it's not mine.

It's a bit like a torture porn film, like the Saw Series. Just ramping up the 'thrills' at the expense of story. Again, something else I didnt enjoy.

A prequel, released 15 years after the original. However it has the same people, playing the same characters and that sets out how confusing it is to understand the timeframe and from there it just gets worse as the story unfolds changing storylines from other films in the series.

Four thuggish small time Essex drug dealers are murdered whilst sitting in their car.

This low level gang crime spawns the longest running series of movies in the gangster genre history. They were in their 30s. The actors playing them are now in their 50s. 'Actors' needs a broad interpretation in their case. This latest roll of the dice is a parody. The first film had a certain visceral attractiveness. This has none. It makes an episode of Eastenders seem like a blockbuster.

I tried to get past the gratuitous and unnecessary swearing (and I'm no prude!) and find a plot and didn't find one. I can see teenagers thinking it's a cool movie but it's just not. Must admit, I'm surprised that Vinnie Jones and Craig Fairbrass even agreed to be in it. It could have been good but misses the mark on every level.

Utter rubbish and a couple of hours of my life wasted. Also paints a terrible picture of Essex!

Just don't bother.
