SK8 the Infinity

I binge-watched the anime, consisting of 12 episodes, on June 21, 2025, and to be honest, I had much more fun than expected. While the show revolves around skateboarding, it's no ordinary sports anime. It's such a nice blending of action and adventure with comedy and amounts of friendship and rivalry.

There is no romantic storyline involved; however, there are strong relationships, especially between the two main leads: Reki and Langa.

Langa transfers from Canada to Okinawa in Japan, and soon, he becomes notable in the underground circuit under the applied alias "Snow." As for Reki, he is a worldly passionate skateboarder who even builds skateboards himself. Among the highlights of the show are watching the developments in their friendship and witnessing them push each other to their limits in some intense skateboarding competitions.

I am not generally a big fan of sports anime, and yet this one stole my heart with its energy and charm. If you enjoy shonen-style stories with a zest of Slice of Life, then this would definitely be worth your time.

This anime was really heartwarming and I *loved* the found family trope in it. The characters were great and the animation was top-notch. I absolutely loved the friendships between the different characters and they added so much fun to the show.

The only complaint I have against this is that the ending seemed really abrupt and it left me feeling quite unsatisfied. I think it would've been better if there were an additional few episodes just to tie in everything nicely. I really hope there'll be a S2!

Season 1: 8.5/10 love langa and reiki together, their friendship is so cute.

Sk8 the infinity was pleasant surprise it had a lot of fun characters very funny moments and entertaining skateboard scenes especially in the last two episodes.
