Anti-comedy can be some of the funniest stuff out there (a la Norm Macdonald), but it takes a special comedic voice, delivery and material to pull it off. Unfortunately, Tim fell very short of meeting the threshold to make the unfunny "funny". I got what he was going for in the first 5 minutes and adjusted my expectations accordingly. Even after doing so, I thought I was unironically watching a Brendan Schaub special.
There's a reason no one picked this up and he released it on his own YT channel. If you're already a fan, you'll get a few chuckles but I could never recommend this to anyone.

As a Tim fan this was very hard to watch.
Literally nothing funny was said in one hour of stand up.
"I like Lady Gaga, but whats next? Lord GooGoo?" This is the quality of jokes through out the show
Also lets not forget the comedy gem "Do you remember the band U2" repeated 20 times
Just horrible.

The one review aside from mine written on here by Mr. scott-spinner proclaims "just not funny....I wouldn't call him a comedian," while assigning the special one star.
And therein lies the brilliance of Tim and this entire special.
Without a nod or wink to the audience, Tim delivers an hour of perfectly crafted anti-humor in the persona of a bombing stand-up comic. It is so flawlessly executed that those not familiar with Tim, like the aforementioned reviewer, will fully believe he is an awful comedian. Tim and Eric has been pushing the boundaries of comedy in a Kaufman-esque way for a long time, and it is amazing and refreshing to see a comedian with the skill and the balls to intentionally suck for an hour, and that is the joke.

An hour you will never get back.can't believe this bloke got a special. I wouldn't call him a comedian
Tim Heidecker. Oh you little genius.
A friend of mine told me to check this little "special" out and see if it belongs within the strange pantheon of Heidecker's previous work. For those of you familiar with Tim and Eric, Steve Brule and Tom Goes to the Mayor, then you will know what you are in for. Unfortunately, I'm sure the crowd was not ready for the performance, but hey, they might have had an inkling into what was happening.
Heidecker basically pulled a big meta commentary on washed up comics. The jokes were bland, he complained about PC culture and did all the things that some whiney conservative man babies like Jerry Seinfeld and Todd Phillips have been complaining about. He proves once again that talent and inventiveness is necessary for comedy. If anything, Heidecker is an OG of this type of comedy, even though Sacha Baron Cohen and Eric Andre have surpassed him. But rather than complain about the state of "woke" society Heidecker keeps doing stuff to compete and stay relevant, such as doing a hackneyed comedy "special" like this or doing a series of commercials for Purple mattresses or heck, playing a courtroom series as perfectly straight.
I doubt few will get this special, but for those that found this bizarre take on comedy refreshing, then check this weird show out.
