Fugued Up!

This was such a great little movie. Every time I watch it I laugh more and more. The comedy was original, and a lot of it stuck in my head for a long time. Finally something fresh from the writing world. I find myself quoting the move ll the time. Several characters had great chemistry together and just all around a great movie. I look forward to seeing more from this writer and director. I would hate to quote from the movie and spoil it for everyone, but there are just some great scenes that I would love to use in my daily life! Haha. Keep up the good work and I can not wait for the next one.

The opening moments contain some funny bits as he tries to figure out what is going on as different characters expand on their versions of who he is. His confusion intensifies as he's given bits and pieces of information that lead to unexpected twists and turns as the film morphs from farce to dark comedy, as we suffer frustration along with the seemingly sweet, goodhearted lead character. There are good moments to savor along the way. The lead was well cast.

Fugued Up is a dark, quirky comedy that will take you on an unpredictable ride. A man wakes up from a long coma and cannot remember anything about himself, then learns he is a suspected killer. The movie is truly laugh out loud funny in certain places. Some of the minor characters in particular provide the most laughs. The dialogue is witty, fast, and fun. And the story unfolded in a way that I did not anticipate. There are many twists and turns and surprises. Credit goes to the writer of course, for all of this. The acting was strong also from the entire cast. The direction and cinematography were solid as well.

I was hooked from the start. I loved the premise and I was very excited to see what would happen next and figuring out what the outcome might be, I won't spoil it but it is well worth the watch. I found myself also laughing out loud multiple times throughout the film. The cast all had phenomenal chemistry with each other and really brought their characters to life in a unique way. It was great seeing industry pros like Joe Estevez and Jan Broberg. The production quality was on point and looked and sounded wonderful. I'm very excited to see what comes next from these talented filmmakers. If you're looking for a fun dark comedy look no further.
