I follow the weekly releases of new shows and a I don't really understand why no one is reviewing this show. It is actually a lot better than much of the junk out there. 9 is probably a bit inflated but I think it deserves more attention than it is getting.
The cast is great. I have no problems with the acting. The plot and writing are pretty good. I did struggle through the second episode and the annoying Boner Iver sounding soundtrack but that would probably be my only complaint. The end of that episode picked up and the rest of the show has been great
I found the show to be thoroughly entertaining and am wanting more.

My brother watched the first couple episodes and thought I would like it. I, for one, resist new shows. But I had just finished rewatching The Wire and had nothing new to watch, so I tried Casa Grande.
And let me tell you... The plot and writing reminds me of Yellowstone, and Dallas haha There are true pearls of wisdom dropped at almost every episode. The characters are deeply layered and keep surprising you. They make you feel and cry and laugh. It's an emotional show, it displays the primal, the political and the existential. It's gnarly and it's beautiful. I'm in love with it, just like I was with Game of Thrones or Westworld.

First thing first, I always hope for a movie like this type of genre. But nowadays the shows just not good as back then. This series as good as "The Last Ship" series. Sweet heat, really!. This show is complete with enough intensity, wonderful Cinematography, great actor and acting. Plus, the storyline makes me impatient to wait for another episodes. Only 5 episodes?? C'mon let me cook the entire dishes just to eat on another casa grande episodes. Not to be left as well, the character 'john pyper Ferguson ' he too played as Tex Nolan in "The Last Ship". Extraordinary series i would say. Love it!
If anyone could relate to the issues presented in this series I can. This series would be far better served to have English CC that covered ALL of the dialogue; I find this a great disservice, and unfortunately other films have the same issue.
I am a "boomer", born and raised in Arizona. Overt racial prejudices in other areas of the U. S. were not apparent in AZ, but the unspoken segregation was not lost on me; the damn attitude that "children should be seen and not heard" made me keep my own council, and not confront my parents.
I sat on many questions such as "Why was there only one Chinese student in my entire grade school, and the other students were all white?" This was only one of many others. I knew my parents weren't prejudiced.
On one occasion, (a long buried memory) my parents had taken some food to an Indian family, in Sahuarita AZ. Their father was a hard worker, had done some back breaking work for us, but was an alcoholic; prone to drink up the money instead of providing for his family.
Their "home" was a two room cinderblock shack; no amenities whatsoever. No indoor plumbing, only a wood stove, a dirt floor, not even window screens to keep out swarms of flies.
This was a real object lesson on how much I had, in contrast to others. Issues of class, immigration, culture and family covered in the series are not lost on me. I have genuine concern, not just complaining for its own sake.
Because of this I ceased watching after midway through Episode 2. One cannot have a correct grasp of the story when CC "cherry picks" the dialogue.

This show is a must watch! It has a great ensemble cast and great acting! I was kept on the edge of my seat with the cliffhangers and ended up binging the whole thing!
Everyone should be watching this show! It is timely and hits on some important issues while also remaining entertaining. I was impressed with each characters storyline and how each character was going through something completely different. The chemistry amongst all of the characters felt genuine and I was interested the whole time. If you are a fan of Dynasty type shows you will like this show! I hope they make more episodes!!
