Mime Your Manners

Mimetics presents a fun and original idea: a type of curse that passes from one arrogant, rude person to another. One moment you're a loudmouth, and the next, you can't get a single word out. All the limitations that come with being a mime are portrayed in a clever and entertaining way.

This animated short also reinforces the transformation from an arrogant man into a mime by shifting both tone and visual style. What begins as a more serious and subdued cartoon suddenly turns into slapstick, featuring all the classic elements-exaggerated physical comedy, precise musical timing, whimsical sound effects, and of course, the complete lack of dialogue.

I think this short delivers a thoughtful lesson we can all reflect on the next time we're irritated by someone's behavior.

I saw it as a beautiful parable about angry, comunication, frustrations and adaptation to a new situation. Very short, full charming. A mime, a man in his duties, an imaginary wall becoming too real and the effort to revenge the fake insult. And the occasion to teach same lesson. A film about inner peace. CHarming at whole.
