Under Investigation

This is a great TV show that looks closely at murder mystery investigations. It's very engaging and fun to watch. They have a panel of experts and uncover details on cases that usually hasn't been revealed. Very excited to see what they have when they resume in February.

Montesquieu would turn in his grave at the site of this utter garbage. Ch9 has been the epicentre of chequebook, gutter, sensationalist 'journalism' for at least a generation and just when you think they can't sink any lower...

How any producer could concieve of these slimeball journo's cooperating with police on open cases with the requisite ethics is beyond me.

Do they remember the separation of powers from first year uni? The idea that the healthiest check and balance for a democracy is that the nation's commanding powers: legislative, executive, judicial, media all maintain distance from each other ( unless in a supervised capacity ) in order to prevent conficts of interest, corruption, and abuses of power.

Well, it seems 9 gas no such fears. Placing muck-raking limelight seeking hacks in some capacity where peoples lives are at stake is beyond comprehension.

How can a commercial media outlet driven by profit and ratings act in the capacity of objective investigators?

This program could run for 30 minutes with commercials if they didn't keep repeating bits of the story over and over.

The episode about Andrew Petrelis, we get told at least 5 times how the parents paid for witness protection.

Enough said but still need to write more to get to the required six hundred characters for this review to be accepted.
