A must watch. A 100 times better than jhachakchake bostapocha hindi cinema.

Why are so many people disliking this movie? Why is everyone comparing "Gully Boy" with this film ? Because both movies have raps !

I admit that this movie has taken references from "Gully Boy" just like "Gully Boy" was inspired a lot from "8 miles."

But my opinion about this film is that I was having fun while watching " Tangra Blues " . This film is not great but also doesn't deserve so much hate from the people .

Tangra blues--- A raw uninhibited take on the 'gully boys' of our very own Tangra lanes. It is an interesting attempt to experiment with this genre in bengali language. This film is no big-banner one with glitz and glam of the industry but it says a true story with a true spirit. The child actors have given mind blowing performances. Parambrata is definitely an added charm. Madhumita is good. These kind of movies should be encouraged more in the coming days. A big thumbs up to the makers and crew of this film.

So realistic making..superb cinematography..brilliant performance by all the cast..especially the female lead madhumita has given a superlative performance..her depression passion was so relatable..the best Gen-y performer in tollywood..overall Tangrablues a cult classic..a must watch..a milestone in Bengali cinema..

The script has a very common element, being "rise against prejudice and prove society wrong", which is always a nice thing to see. Children born in a slum find solace in music, their future otherwise bleak. As portrayed, being poor is a vicious cycle that's impossible to escape. There was a depiction of the cruelty and violence present in teen gangs, and how it's something that provides a sense of community amongst underprivileged children.

Not too bad overall. It's supposed to be a feel-good, motivational movie, it's just that the script is quite cliché. Nothing stands out, and the acting fell flat at times. The rap songs were great though.
