Stories from My Gay Grandparents

I'm so excited to leave a review about this show. First, I'd love to say that I appreciate the entire cast for their showcasing their talent around a much NEEDED topic. I wish our community honored our elders as much as the youth is adorned. With that being said, I felt elated after watching the entire season (in a few hours, actually lol) The comedic timing, the topics of loss, love, ambiguity, unspoken expression, and how authenticity is always transferred and evolved and not lost.

The look back in history, the sacrifices put forth for life's evolution, the acceptance of wisdom from the both younger and older people. This is like a modern day gospel, to me.

I'm ecstatic about the second season. The cliff hanger is hilariously inviting. I've enjoyed every episode I've seen and a very pleased viewer. I'm proud to be apart of a community that displays itself in this way.

My partner and I are a lesbian couple in our 50's we were both in heterosexual relationships for 20 plus years and recently came out late in life. We absolutely love this series. I have two gay children and she has one. There is so much to learn and identify with in this show! Please make a second season. The humor and candor in this show are so refreshing. The Grand children's wisdom and the grand parent naivete are so heart warming and identifiable. The education with terminology and the family bond are so heartwarming and encouraging. I can't believe ait to see what happens next. Love love love this show. It ended too soon.

Watched the first episode and was hooked! Great storyline great acting and just an amazing show! I soooo hope for a second season I'm an older gay man and loved watching the grandparents discover their groove! Can't wait for more. I would love to come to Toronto and be an extra! I have told all of my friends to watch and they are hooked as well. I love that it is filmed on location and not in a studio. I hope in the next season the episodes can be a little longer. Even though the episodes are short it still contains so much content that they actually feel longer! Great job on creating and directing this fresh new series.

This series is hilarious! I laughed so hard that my teenage so. Came out of his bedroom and stared at me. I binge watched the first season in one night! The episodes are less than fifteen minutes each so it is very easy to get caught up in the storylines. I can not wait for season two to be released!

The casting is spot on! Watching the grandparents trying is find themselves is comedic. The horrific looks of their grandchildren's faces at times is sidesplitting.

There are so many potential storylines for season two that I can not wait to see unfurl.

I highly recommend this show to anyone who has an open mind and a great sense of humor.

What a fantastic show. Perfect cast with each character three dimensional. Great drama (albeit nuanced and subtle at times) acting, and great comic acting. Plus the stories were hilarious, camp and honest in perfect ratios. It addresses some very real issues in a very funny way. What a great gift to GLTBQI community. I loved it so much I wanted it to keep going so I binged it from the beginning a second time. The getting ready for the beach segment, and the reaction of those watching had me rolling! Bring on the next season. It definitely deserves a wide audience and to keep making seasons. Brilliant!
