Exit 117

I saw this at a film festival in NJ, now I own it on DVD. I highly recommend it. It was a pleasure to meet the writer/director, Kevin James McMullin,as well as the cast after the screening. A passionate young group that with a lot of effort, and astonishingly little money, turned out a quality movie.

My wife and I both loved it, we are from Jersey but the film has more than a regional appeal. I also like the idea of an independent film, but this is just a straight up good movie. There were some poignant moments, some silly moments and some laughs.

With fun characters, a witty script and some creative cinematography, this movie totally brought us back to senior year of high school. We watch a lot of movies together, but there are few that we continue to talk about for more than a few days. Exit 117 is a good movie choice to watch with friends, a great choice for a date night movie.
