Beginning with positives, I enjoyed the cinematography and color grading; I imagine this is why it won awards, and well deserved in that light. This came across YouTube to me and I watched it on a lunch break. I appreciate the effort, truly.
However, the cavemen-esque accents and makeup are almost laughable, and I found that both of these broke my attention span. I understand that this might be low budget and am not trying to discourage any effort here, but a note of suggestion would be to try and hire a professional makeup artist - this took me out of the "zone" multiple times. Also - the woman in the beginning was almost portrayed as weak and unprepared, but in Norse culture, this would be completely incorrect. This coming from a man myself, female warriors were equally as fierce and aware on the battlefield as the men!
I really did like the music, I thought it was as authentic as you could get. Overall, I think this was a good attempt and I really admire the efforts that I can tell went into it, but I'm not sure I would recommend it. Will be following for more projects though; there is lots of potential!
