Dublin Crust gives us a great mix of punk, nostalgia, and relationships.
You've got everything here, from laughter to tears. The beginning and end scenes contrast heavily but there's one thing that every scene has in common - they all have a lot of heart.
The characters are flawed and yet there's a lot of warmth to each of them - you'd happily befriend them all (yes, even Bernard!). There is a constant theme of people trying to better themselves, and able to do it through the support of others and a generous helping of punk attitude. The message I picked up on: Punk isn't dead and cherish your relationships.
More films need to be made with more heart less thought on profit. Watch it, enjoy it, feel it. Then get the soundtrack stuck in your head 🤘

Well this movie brought me back to when music was real, gigs were alive and the 90s Ireland had fun and laughter in its veins! Absolutely loved the humour, the emotion and the cast. Felt elated as I was leaving the cinema. Will definitely be watching again and again. Characters and storylines are so real, you feel for each and every one. Even if you don't like punk music this film is still one to watch. Although you might leave with their hit replaying in your head! Massively proud that it's full Irish, cast and crew. Hope it goes across the water to show to share this masterpiece with the world.
If you're a movie or music enthusiast, prepare to be plunged headfirst into the rebellious world of the band CRUST in this gripping movie.
The narrative is a tightly woven tapestry that keeps you hooked from start to finish, leaving you craving more insight into the unfolding drama. The film successfully balances humor and heart, making it an engaging watch for anyone eager to see how it all plays out. It speaks to the universal theme of craving change and the potential for self-destructive paths, particularly relevant to the struggles faced by young individuals. The film, with its brilliant execution, becomes a canvas for everyone, young and old, to reflect on their own journeys, passions, and the challenges of navigating life. In summary, "Dublin Crust" masterfully blends humor, heartbreak, and relatable experiences.

A truly wonderful indie film from beginning to end. Absolutely terrific acting. I really enjoyed Baz Black who played Bonehead. In addition he wrote and directed this gem of a film. No easy task but he pulled this feat off masterfully well! Actually I thought all the acting was spot on. Colleen Keogh was exceptional as Lizzy. The story was quite good and it certainly held my interest throughout. I never found my mind wonder off nor did I find any flat spots. The film moved along at a really nice clip. Bravo folks! You all did a really solid job! This little gem clearly gets a thumbs up from me!
Dublin Crust tells the entertaining story of 4 bandmates (and their manager) who were a popular punk band in the late 1990's, went their separate ways, and decide to reform now as middle-aged geezers to see if they've still got it. The answer is a resounding 'yes!' This is a delightful movie in the vein of The Commitments or The Full Monty, that delves into choices we make in life, and how to reclaim past glory. The music is great throughout, and I give big kudos to Director Baz Black, the Producers, and fine cast for pulling out all the stops to tell this story. If you have any memories of the punk rock movement of the 1990's, you will love this. Beyond that, it's a solid character story about friends and staying true to what you believe. Check it out!
