Eureka!

When dealing with a short THIS short, the more it can do to make you question and contemplate what you just saw, the better. I'm no professional film reviewer, but I was compelled to write this after a 15-ish second short inspired minutes, MINUTES I tells ya, of contemplation about the artform.

Upon first viewing, it elicited a quick giggle from me at the "twist", before going back in for multiple additional viewings to try to coax more inferences from the conspiracy setpieces. Am I reading too much into potential meanings behind the setting design? Possibly. Am I dwelling top much on the voicework and motivations of the lead character? Definitely. Did I reach out to the director to ask if my initial giggle was an intended reaction by him? I plead the fifth.

But that's half the fun of shorts like these.

And to the point, this short is an absolutely hilarious takedown of conspiracy theorists. If these nutjobs were right, they would not be allowed to speak out.

The animation by Venkat Selvaraj, while simple, perfectly fits the aesthetics of the conspiracy boards being parodied. The film may only be 17 seconds, but you'll no doubt be pausing to admire the film's set and look for hidden details.

Creighton's voicework for the one line of the film is similarly terrifically on-point. His cracking voice perfectly captures the epiphany the lead character experiences.
