Leontine is walking with her parents in the park. She sees a balloon seller. She inveigles her papa into buying one for her. She sees another balloon seller, and gets another balloon. And so forth, until she is carried off into the skies by the balloons, with parents and assorted players racing after her.
No one seems to know who played Leontine for Pathe Freres, but the comedienne played her fairly consistently over more than a dozen shorts: adolescent, bratty, and frequently given to practical jokes of a very destructive nature, certain in her ability to carry them off without repercussion. Here she is carried off on what is clearly a moving camera crane.
