This docu-series had me laughing - not because greedy people are being found dead, but because the trailer made an impression that these chaps discovered hard evidence and something new that no one else discovered before. Alas, not the case. The "documentary" is more about how millenials discovered Russia's wild 90s and made it their pet project. Everything the series cover was already reported by more serious journalists many times over. And even they couldn't produce any concrete evidence. These series offer nothing but "speculative journalism". One star for effort, but I'd say stick with cats quizzes for the time being. For more serious look on Russia, Ukraine and everything else, I recommend Oliver Stone's films.
Well i thought this was excellent . Fascinating , illumination and shocking. I was aware of a lot of the incidents in this documentary but it was good to get a lot more depth to the financial skullduggery , strange deaths and Russian secrecy all at play behind the scenes in London.
This is an extremely poor documentary made by left wing Buzzfeed 'journalists', short on facts but long on opinions, including the baseless conclusion that all the deaths are attributable to Vladimir Putin personally. I know and have met several of the characters on whom the documentary focuses as well as some of the people who were interviewed for comments. For anyone who has followed these events, which took place more than a decade ago, there are no new revelations, which poses the question what have these 'journalists' been doing other than collating already published reports? It may be of interest to those who are unaware of these events, or to those who subscribe to the current Western narrative that Putin Bad (remember Orange Man Bad), but it's a complete waste of time for those with any knowledge of the actual events that took place. Cheap tabloid journalism at best.
I made it through the first 45 mins of long, meandering explanations from an array of journalists............................but the trailer was good.
Buzzfeed did a great job of luring you in to ask questions about what happened, but they never provided evidence. The most interesting part was listening to Michelle Young and watching her facial expressions, but then after realizing why she's speaking out, it's hard to know who or what to believe. The most disappointing part is Buzzfeed constantly inflicting their extremely bias leftist views instead of just focusing on facts. Throwing in clips of Trump even though he has absolutely nothing to do with this documentary or series of events and no proof of ties to Russia, is just indoctrination at its finest. While I'm convinced that Russia is responsible for some of these deaths, my conclusion didn't come from anything provided in this attempt at a documentary. It's hard to find a documentary anymore that doesn't push their radical left opinions, so if that's important to you, I would recommend skipping this one.
