Why would anybody with the kind of power shown in the first episode spend that kind of money to track just one person that stayed in prison for such a short time for such a horrible crime?
That crucial question was not explained by anyone, thus rendering the entire show a moot point.
The people watching "Sergio" are MORE disturbed than Sergio, whose reason for the crime was explained in less than one sentence and did not make sense.
The show reason for being has not been explained adequately yet, the movie expects to raise the tension of the show with diversion that also have no reason for being because they have no relation to what the producers think is the central theme (that gas not been explained.
The show is what is called "a self eating watermelon."

Once AGAIN Netflix is expecting it's viewers to look past their blatant disregard for the tiniest modecum of plain, simple, common sense reality.
The girl fan is let into the obs office.... at the drop of a hat.... like it was a totally normal thing to do during a secret court ordered observation! Breaking goodness knows how many legal protocols.
NOT EVEN CLOSE TO A REAL WORLD Scenario.
And let's just not forget to mention the elephant in the room.... That there just obviously LOADS A MONEY sloshing around the Spanish coffers to pay for a team of what? 4? 5? 6 people maybe? To monitor a guy who has been lawfully released from prison.
NOT EVEN CLOSE TO A REAL WORLD Scenario.
Not only that, but it's a clear as mud as to why exactly they have been given this (splutters) ridiculously generous budget to watch a guy having a f...... shower. I mean... Really?
It's an obvious budget saving move by "Netflix" not to have this set in a normal police station setting, where (for example) a specialist can be brought in and paired with a cop who's really busy - that would be more realistic but oh, I forgot, probably cost a bit more.
So much more to say but let's just end on this, having received said court order / budget-to-go-with-it, they obviously couldn't even afford a half decent outdoor camera to see what someone was holding in their hands.1980's standard at best! Netflix ALWAYS do this kind of thing to create suspense, again, at the cost of blatently foregoing any modecum of reality.
Face palm, face palm, face palm....

Tv-show is called muted and the premise is that the main character hasn´t spoken to anyone in six years since he killes his parents. But in fact he speaks to everyone except some people in the police and law department. This pretty much ruins thew whole premise of the movie and it never gets any better. A really boring main actor who just looks like he is misplaced in every scene he is in. Surronded with a few more b- actors/actresses makes this a snooze fest and except for the first 10 minutes when the murder is committed there is just nothing engaging about it. You never feel sorry for the main actor in any scene, you just feels he is pathetic and weird. I won´t spoil the ending but come on, really???? Number one stupidiest tv-show this year.
Knowing how entertaining and full of plot twists spanish movies and tv-series, usually, are, and with a cast that is quite relevant at this point, especially on younger generations, I started this series with a lot of expectations, but I gotta admit that the trailer was actually better than the series itself.
The first episode is good, but in retrospect only because it makes you question a few things that you wish you're going to enjoy during the other episodes, but that never happened, and not because the plot isn't good enough, but because it's narrated in the wrong way and with the wrong timing.

Just like with another Netflix series "Safe", "Muted" has a promising beginning, keeps your attention throughout all 6 episodes (though not everything makes sense) - suspense is high, acting is great, so you naturally expect some really clever culmination...just to get disappointed in the end. So many question remain unanswered. If his Mother was a saint, why the observation room? What about the experimental medicine? What was it about the older guy who the policeman was meeting in secret places? They really messed up Noa character-nothing makes sense about her. What about his aunt and grandparents? Why were they brought into the play? I can continue with 10 more whys.. Still, the series are so different from the modern day Hollywood productions, so I don't regret watching it.
