Its Star Wars for KIDS! As a HUGE star Wars fan for over 40 years Im always looking for ways to get my younger kids into it. Clone Wars and Rebels are absolutely fantastic but are still essentially adult continuations of the films. Some of the adult themes and stories can be hard for them to follow. Thankfully THIS show came around for my youngest kiddos! It's THROUGHLY enjoyable for adults and thank goodness it's not complete cringe, like so many other "for little kids" shows out there. This show is just great all around. Its cute enough for the kids to enjoy it and follow but not so dumbed down to be annoying and unwatchable. And the best part of all is it FEELS Star Wars! Absolutely recommend even if you dont have kids!
The animation is nice. The plot does not make much sense. Some characters known from other Star Wars shows will pop up. Overall it's something that may be appreciated by kids. It's most likely not for adults. There's not much regular people can appreciate. Is it just pure money grab ? It can be, but it's difficult to judge as of now. I still need to type around 250 characters, so I'll add, that if you're going to watch these series, please don't have high expectations. It's heavily simple minded and the emphasis of the show is purely on animation and those nice big colorful eyes of characters, that are supposed to be liked by children.
It's a good show for kids. It teaches morals, integrity, loyalty, and sharing. The only problem I have is that these clumsy little rascals all have the most dangerous personal weapon in the galaxy, a lightsaber. In the movies, we are shown how sacred and dangerous these are. They are not just given to anyone. These weapons can sever body parts, cut holes in walls and doors, and we are introduced to them by seeing Obi wan cut down by Darth Vader with one, in the first movie. So why is a little bear using one to fight droids over some relics, or birds over some fruit? I get it, the kids want to see it, but let's keep it real folks. Stick with the cannon.
My son loves this show, and for good reasons. The colors, voice acting, animation and sound are all great for a younger audience and the stories and messages presented in each episode will really resonate with him and other kids whenever gets a little older. As adults, we should get rating this show based on how children will react to the show and enjoy it. Of course any good show has to be entertaining to their parents as well, and I can confidently say that there's a plethora of very annoying and mindless shows for children out there and this show isn't one of them. I obviously won't watch it by myself, but I'll have no problem turning it on for my kid.
Just because of Master Yoda, who appears in his younger years, one should watch this series.
The title and storytelling are naturally tailored so that the youngest can easily follow the action, animated in great, vibrant colors. Particularly appealing is that each plot contains a meaningful and valuable message in Jedi style at the end. The action is not lacking either, all well-balanced and as non-violent as possible, of course.
The animated series fits into the official Star Wars canon and takes place during the High Republic era. So it's also suitable for Star Wars moms and dads. Absolutely worth watching.
