Acting Good

Wow! The advertising for this show is so below the belt. I wish I could go lower than a 1 star rating and giving Acting Good a 2 star rating is just me being polite but I don't even know just what the hell the writers were smoking when they thought of this but it's just not good at all.

"Awwe! The little white girl wants to get started!"!

The actors in this show are just not acting good at all. I just want to not vomit every time I see the ads for this show but I might just do that.

Who writes shows like this. At the very least the actors can pretend that they're funny. It's just not funny..

Terrible!!! Awful !!! I find it very hard to believe that the network think this is a good representative of our First Nations. There has GOT to be better than this. Lets find a plot and stories line to reflect correctly the life of First Nations.

The actors are either whining, swearing or screaming at each other. The plot of the few episodes have been childish and reflects poorly on First Nations. It takes all the stereo types that some people have had regarding how First Nations live and placed them on the screen. I agree with another review that the commercial sponsors will be pulling out soon ...that is if they value their product.

It's SUCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH an underrated show!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait for season 3.

If you watched Reservation Dawgs and miss the banter, this might do the trick. I see it as more of a lower budget sitcom version of it. Even if maybe only the main character is in sitcom mode (I totally get what another reviewer said about him acting as if he was doing voice over).

What I really appreciate is when a show about indigenous peoples includes music by native artists as well. The intro song has captured my heart.

Overall, I enjoy being able to research the things that I don't understand, just to find out they're actually indigenous traditions/pop culture/beliefs. This show also does this well.

Love that it plays in Canada.

As an Indigenous person, there's not much more I dislike creatively then the 'couldn't make it anywhere else, got to go back to the rezzzz' but this is what they went with. Not the greatest message to send to youth who live in fly-in First Nations but I will leave that there.

I believe this show is currently starting production on season three so in hopes that someone on the show might read this - I would love to see improved writing and development of Indigenous women and girls on this show and possibly even some positive representation of Indigenous women because I've been less than impressed with what this show has done in that realm so far.

I can tell that a few of the negative reviews were probably written by a bunch of white people who have never experienced living in an indigenous community. I used to be the "Brody" in Aklavik way up in NWT and this show is so relatable to my experience of Ak and the wonderful community and friends I've made up there. This show makes me miss Aklavik more than I normally do and the characters are so relatable and endearing. I honestly hope it gets renewed as I was looking forward do a new epi every week when it was airing on cable. I love the humor and jokes and I'm worried it about its renewal as not everyone gets it. Get it renewed I need a new season !!
